I had the best Negroni ever in the bar Veður, Klapparstígur 33, Reykjavik. The secret is the vermouth that they use. They use Antica Formula from Italy which according to one review is the "gold standard" of vermouths. I will try to buy some. (I seem to recall that they use Bombay Sapphire gin along with regular Campari.)
I had the second best Negroni at the Hotel Plaza San Francisco in Santiago, Chile. It is made with Campari, their own "home made" vermouth and El Viaje, a Chilean gin.
